About Numun

Seeding and sustaining technological infrastructures for feminist activism, organisations and movements.

Numun Fund’s mission is to mobilise and redistribute diverse resources for a growing ecosystem of feminist tech activism, in order to strengthen the power of social justice movements and build technology for the world we want.

Joining the Numun Fund Team

The Fund is currently in the build phase, and in the process of being dreamed up and made. The next 6-12 months is an exciting time as we shape and build the forms, structures, processes and culture of Numun Fund. This means that while not everything will have been worked out, you will be joining this creative energy, and your participation will be a big part of this making.

The Numun Fund team currently is imagined to be a small, interrelated, committed and highly adept team who will contribute to creating a collaborative work space for individual and collective accountability, creativity and impact.

The work is remote, and team members connect to working spaces online, whilst being grounded in the reality of their spaces. This means that things like time justice, the rhythms of care and differences in technology access will be folded into how we work.

As the first dedicated fund for feminist tech work for, in and led by the Larger World (aka Global South), we are prioritising building a team that is led by feminists located in the Larger World. This includes territories in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Middle East and Arab countries, Eastern Europe, and the Pacific. Grounded in intersectional movements and politics, we also understand that speaking across distances in multiple locations is a critical part of this work, and that location and power is also often shifting and complex.

Role Summary

The Organisational Choreographer (Organisational Associate) is a key role in Numun Fund to organise, coordinate and undertake the critical day-to-day administrative and operational tasks in Numun Fund.

The Org Choreographer is the vital synaptic connection between different team members and areas of work in Numun Fund. They are primarily accountable for managing the rhythm and rituals of the organisation, including meetings, deadlines and events, and supporting communication and information flow within the organisation and externally. The Org Cheoreographer also contributes to operational workflows, and provides support to the Programmes Weaver (Senior Coordinator) in fund and programmatic administration.

We are looking for someone who is incredibly organised, and who is an artist with mastery in managing multiple threads of time and tasks, especially for working in a remote environment across timezones with a newly forming team where many rhythms need to be set into place. We are also looking for someone who understands the criticality of day-to-day work, and who is able to problem-solve, work independently and who is a really good communicator.
